Mirna Čudić Žgela, born on October 2nd 1988 in Split (Croatia), completed her primary and secondary education in her hometown. The next academic year, 2007/08, she enrolled, at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb, in the undergraduate study of English and Italian languages and literatures. Then, in 2011/12, she enrolled in the graduate study, specialising in English (both UK and US) and Italian cultures and literatures, with particular regard to British literature and culture.
In academic year 2012/13, on September 30th, she graduated in English and Italian languages and literatures, thus obtaining the title of MA in English and Italian.
She is vastly experienced in translating various texts pertaining to humanities and social sciences from English to Croatian, as well as from Croatian to English, whereas, for Catholic editors Kršćanska sadašnjost and Figulus, she translated books from Italian to Croatian. She has been living in Rijeka since 2018.
On May 22nd 2025 she has been appointed certified court interpreter for English and Italian by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Croatia. As such, she has translated several official documents so far, mainly from English and to English (birth and marriage certificates, powers of attorney, etc.)
