I offer proofreading services of texts written in English and Italian, by meticulously correcting grammatical, spelling, stylistic and terminological inaccuracies. The price per text card (1500 characters with spaces) amounts to 50% of the price of the uncertified translation, namely 9.5 euros per text card.

I am Mirna Čudić Žgela, MA in English and Italian language and literature, and, for the past decade approximately, I have been dedicated to translating texts requiring precision, understanding, and cultural sensibility. I have obtained my academic education at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Zagreb University. I participated in various translation projects – ranging from professional materials to books for renowned editors.
As of this year, 2025, I have been working as a certified court interpreter for English and Italian languages, respectively. One text card consists of 1500 characters with spaces as shown in the MS Word document. The range of a text card has been prescribed by the currently valid Regulations for Court Interpreters, issued by the Ministry of Justice.
Certified translation is a translation whose validity I confirm using a stamp, being a certified court interpreter for English and Italian.
The price is formed in accordance with the currently valid Regulations for Court Interpreters issued by the Ministry of Justice. The price currently prescribed amounts to 25 euros per text card with certification, or 19 euros per text card without certification.
I offer an estimation of the price of translation or proofreading free of charge.
All payments are to be made exclusively to my giro account IBAN HR73 2402 0063 1042 0842 8 (SWIFT ESBCHR22) at Erste bank, due to Fiscalization Act.
I translate as soon as possible. If there should be no way I manage it on time, the client will be duly notified.
Translation is an extremely complex process because it does not comprise a mere replacement of a word from one language by a word from another. It requires the translator to master, apart from grammar and vocabulary of the source language and the target language respectively, the area of knowledge to which the text belongs. It is with this aim in mind that the translator uses various specialised dictionaries and books. It is of utmost importance to faithfully transmit the sense of the written text by adhering to the
grammar, style, and the spirit of the target language.
