I offer certified translations of documents both from English and Italian to Croatian and from Croatian to English and Italian, being a certified court interpreter.
Such translations are legally valid and accepted at state institutions, courts, notary public offices, as well as other official bodies.
I perform specialised translations both from English and Italian to Croatian and from Croatian to English and Italian not requiring a court interpreter's certification - aimed for internal usage, business requests and letters, business communication and correspondence, as well as aimed at translating websites, brochures, technical documentation, e-mails and other unofficial texts.
I offer proofreading services of texts written in English and Italian, by meticulously correcting grammatical, spelling, stylistic and terminological inaccuracies. The price per text card (1500 characters with spaces) amounts to 50% of the price of the uncertified translation, namely 9.5 euros per text card.
Mirna Čudić Žgela, born on October 2nd 1988 in Split (Croatia), completed her primary and secondary education in her hometown. The next academic year, 2007/08, she enrolled, at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb, in the undergraduate study of English and Italian languages and literatures. Then, in 2011/12, she enrolled in the graduate study, specialising in English (both UK and US) and Italian cultures and literatures, with particular regard to British literature and culture.
In academic year 2012/13, on September 30th, she graduated in English and Italian languages and literatures, thus obtaining the title of MA in English and Italian.
She is vastly experienced in translating various texts pertaining to humanities and social sciences from English to Croatian, as well as from Croatian to English, whereas, for Catholic editors Kršćanska sadašnjost and Figulus, she translated books from Italian to Croatian. She has been living in Rijeka since 2018.
On May 22nd 2025 she has been appointed certified court interpreter for English and Italian by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Croatia. As such, she has translated several official documents so far, mainly from English and to English (birth and marriage certificates, powers of attorney, etc.)

One text card consists of 1500 characters with spaces as shown in the MS Word document. The range of a text card has been prescribed by the currently valid Regulations for Court Interpreters, issued by the Ministry of Justice.
Certified translation is a translation whose validity I confirm using a stamp, being a certified court interpreter for English and Italian.
The price is formed in accordance with the currently valid Regulations for Court Interpreters issued by the Ministry of Justice. The price currently prescribed amounts to 25 euros per text card with certification, or 19 euros per text card without certification.
I translate as soon as possible. If there should be no way I manage it on time, the client will be duly notified.
